Wrong, Bishop Devine, Wrong

Bishop Devine has made anti gay comments which go against any reasonable and Christian principle that I know of.
The statements which he has evidently made have more in common with the nuttier fundamentalist fringes of Christianity which feed on our propensity for conformity, and persecution of those who are different.
He should withdraw these remarks; this is not the reasonable and humane faith which many of my friends hold, and his views have no place whatsoever in an inclusive and civilised society.

I note also that one blogger has decided that this might be a good opportunity to score some party political points.
